Drs. Fred and Kathleen Deutsch have been practicing chiropractors in Watertown, SD, since 1983, helping people in pain from Watertown and throughout the region. Dr. Kathleen grew up in the tiny town of Grenville, SD (population 100), and Dr. Fred near the big city of Detroit Michigan. They met in chiropractic school in 1979, and after marriage in 1982 decided they wanted to open an office somewhere in South Dakota near Dr. Kathleen’s home town. Watertown was the perfect location – small enough for Dr. Kathleen and large enough for Dr. Fred.
Dr. Kathleen knew she wanted to become a chiropractor since she was in high school when she shadowed a Webster chiropractor during a career class. Dr. Fred originally wanted to be a medical doctor, but after a college semester of research working in a blood lab at the National Institutes of Health in Bethesda, MD, he decided to pursue a career in a health science field that didn’t deal with blood. His introduction to chiropractic turned out to be life changing, both professionally and personally.
Drs. Fred and Kathleen have practiced together in Watertown as the areas only husband and wife team since 1983. Together, they are committed to making a positive difference in the lives of their patients.
